Leave a Comment to Guest Blog:

Baby Boomer Nostalgia: Life as a Boomer

I love nostalgia articles about your Baby Boomer life: music concerts, Beatlemania, disco, high school, movies that had a big influence on your life, toys you grew up with, clothing styles you loved, things you remember, things you miss, things you hated, and things that are specific to your life and your experience as a Boomer. (You can use a pen name when talking about your ex... lol.)

I also like articles about health, travel, clothing for older women, trends, and things like that... check out the categories. Snarkiness or a "Boomer Attitude" is encouraged but not required. (I like stuff that I haven't read on a million other websites... stuff that only YOU can write because only YOU lived it.)

Younger Writers

I prefer that younger writers interview their mothers (or grandmothers) or consult someone older in order to add that special Boomerina touch and Boomer point of view. This is not always a necessity. It depends on the subject.

I Give Guidance

Writing online is very different from English class. If you want to learn, I'll give you tips or make small changes that will show you how to reach people.

I reach a lot of Boomers and I give great backlinks to your site, but I don't take every article submitted. We have standards here, even if they are a bit quirky. But, don't be shy about submissions... I don't bite. Pitch me your idea in the comment section or just say "hi" (and I will contact you through email). Most of the time, I like backlinks that go to your own personal blog rather than a corporate site. Thanks. Peace. Hugs... and all that.

I have an on line jewelry website and have been in the fashion business for 30 years or so. I am also a writer. My site definitely leans boho, young hip,and trendy, but I am growing more conflicted as I am well over 50 now, so I have been trying to pepper it with more info on growing older in fashion and in life gracefully. Havealso been "coming out" more recently about my own age on my site, as well. The reason for this is is that I find there are so many more "young" people who shop online, (most of my friends dont even email) and think Im a technologiical genius, when I cant even keep up with the young interns I employ! I would love to write for you, or even have you guest blog for us, as I too am feeling dazed and confused lately on finding that balance between having Stevie Nicks as my muse (having lived in LA for 10 years where I was friends with her, and alot of musicians back then , The Eagles, Chicago etc, and boy do I ever have stories to tell) and not wanting to give up that bohemian free spirited side of myself but trying to color my hair blue, only to fear it will be mistaken for that "grandmothers shade of silvery blue dye from back in the 1950's) lol ;-), I also do not want to be forced into that category that is the eclectic artsy hippie gypsy kooky old lady one! My website (click my name to see it) is named after my grandmother as a tribute. You can read more about me there. Thank you for your time, and your blog!

    • Lata

My name is Lata , I have been browsing your site and was wondering if you would be interested in letting us contribute an article on Fashion and Shopping on your website.

We would provide you with a well-written, unique article on the subject, written by one of our subject matter experts. In return we only ask that you let us put one discrete links to our site in the bottom of the article or in last paragraph of the article.

Please let me know if this arrangement would be of interest to you. Our writers are very knowledgeable and I can assure you that the material would be of high quality both in regards to subject matter and language.

I've finished writing the article and titled it, "Could You Be the Target For a Psycho?" Let me know if you're still interested and if so, how can I send it to you?

  3. Kathy

I love writing about life in general whether it be old........er women who dress like they are 20 and writing it with humor......to seriousness about changing times, having a child with developmental issues or simply poking fun at myself. I've been on this net a long time and have seen a lot. I love writing about it..... If I can make people laugh, which I do, then my day is made. If interested, let me know :)

  4. Christina Gregoire

Kathy, I just saw your comment. I don't know how I missed it (weeks ago) and you should contact me. Love your sense of humor.

  5. Christina Gregoire

Other people, I have contacted you if I was (were?) able to find your email. Don't worry... it won't show up for the whole world to see if you have left an email address.

I'm a writer and blogger who focuses mainly on family issues, health care and caring for the elderly. I've read a few articles on this site and liked them a lot. I really appreciate the smart, conversational style of the writing.

I was wondering, would you be interested in an article about how people with careers and families of their own (i.e. Boomers and Boomerinas) can cope with losing a parent? I thought that readers of this site might go through this soon enough if they aren't already. Please let me know. Let me know also if I could possibly include a link for the website that I currently write for (I'd like to help them out a little).

Thanks for your time. Keep up the good work with this site!

    Warm regards,

I love the style of this blog and have some ideas to write. Please contact me so we can discuss what topics would be a great fit for boomerinas.com

  8. Melisa Cammack

    Hi there!

I'm Melisa, I live in Australia and am up at this horrible hour due to baby-kicks and pregnancy heartburn, haha! I've been freelance writing for a few years now, and I mainly write parenting and self-help articles. I have an article titled "Finding the Words: Dos and Don'ts of Helping a Friend in a Bad Relationship" and I'm sure that you and your audience would really get a lot out of what I have to offer, and I would absolutely LOVE to work with you!
I can be contacted at anytime, the only time I don't have my iPhone on me is when I'm showering, so feel free to reach out!

How can I submit something (a story, poem, article)?

  10. Patricia Sands

I've just discovered your fabulous website through the Boomer Lit group on Goodreads. I'm on the outside edge of being a boomer (1946). Up here in Canada we often switch the tag to "zoomer" because of the amazing energy and lust for life so many of us exhibit. I would be delighted to write for you and look forward to any suggestions you may have.

My award-winning novel, The Bridge Club, tells the story of 8 women over the age of 60 who have been friends for over 40 years. It reached Amazon Bestseller status just last month. I have a new novel in edits that will hopefully be published in February, The Promise of Provence. This one is about a woman in her mid-fities whose life changes in the most surprising fashion. I love to write about older women and the possibilities that exist in the ways we approach change in our lives. We should all embrace being a "possibilitarian"! Happy new year!

I would love to have you write an article. Your books sound amazing... are they on Kindle and all that?

I have a story idea . . . age differences in remarriages. I have several friends who are married to younger men; my husband is 80 (25 years older than me).

I bet other women would be interested in hearing how couples cope with age differences, multiple exes, and all of the other stuff that goes with new partners at this stage in life.

  12. Lauren Hill

I'm in love with your site. I've laughed and shopped and enjoyed every minute of it. I'm a freelance writer and I would be overjoyed to share my writing with you. I write on everything from planning for retirement to caring for aging parents. I would even write on a topic you choose. I'd love to hear back from you. I think we would work well together.

    Thanks. Lauren

  13. Linda Logan

I have always enjoyed writing and sharing thoughts, joys, sorrows, lessons learned and life in general. My inspiration is my own family and my many years of working with young children and their families along with being a woman in her 50's and all that life has taught me so far. I am interested in helping people understand relationships and communication, not that I am an expert, but because I'm willing to share as I learn as well.

  14. Kelly

I am interested in writing article about Women's lifestyle here. If you allow me to write some posts, then I will love to write about women's bathrobes or spa robes. Do you want such kind of post?

    Let me know your reply!
    Thanks. Kelly

    • Tina

Your article sounds interesting, but I'm looking for articles written from the perspective of an older person and articles written for older women. I am curious about how someone could write a whole article on bathrobes...

I'm sure you know the subject much better than I do.

I'm a retired teacher/psychologist and a writer. I love style, color, eccentric things and am mulling articles about how to dress with flair (at "our age") and how to have a fabulous wardrobe without dipping into the vacation fund. You interested in me?

    Hi Tina,

I was wondering if your posts about bathing suits and cruise wear would you be interested in a post about best cruise getaways this summer, or top five things you need to do on your next cruise?
    Love to hear from you.

  18. Sharon Sussman

    Hi Tina,

I came across your website last month and tried sending a comment, but it doesn't seem to have taken. Anyway, I really like the funky style you have, and was wondering if you'd like an article on non-dress alternatives for brides who want something different on their wedding day. Figured this topic would be more attractive to Boomers than to anyone else.

I thought the Favour-Making Party suggested by Emily Bradbury was brilliant. Thoughtful and very applicable. I also like your own post on Beach Cover-Ups for Women. It was inspiring.

In case you would like to see how I write, below are links to two posts I've done recently:

Thanks, and hope to hear from you!

    Best regards,

As my daughter plans her festival outings, memories of my Woodstock days flood my mind. Thought others could relate. Also have tickets for my Boomer crush, Bob Dylan. This was on my Bucket List. I understand that he doesn't exactly sound the same but would also make a timely article. What do you think?

  21. Denis

What a great site Boomerinas is. As a boomer and experienced writer myself, I know the potential of everyone's lifestory. I'd like to propose to you an article "Six Ways Writing Your Memoir Can Benefit & Motivate You". I languish at the thought of all the stories that have not yet been told and want to encourage boomers to begin their memoir writing now. I'd be happy to write an article for your blog.

Please let me know if I can serve your community.

  22. Kari Lloyd

    Hi Tina!

My name's Kari Lloyd and I'm a blogger/online writer and I'd love the opportunity to write for your blog, particularly in the relationships department. I've got a couple of ideas that I think would be great for your readers, such as tips to repairing marriages after infidelity. Would you be interested?

I'd love to discuss this a bit further -- please feel free to contact me via my email. In the meantime, keep up the good work. My future credit card bills already hurt after reading through your fashion section!

    Warm regards,

    • Tina

I sent you my email address. We're all looking forward to finding out what you write (about infidelity). Every woman I know has been through it.

    Hi, Tina,

Thought you might be interested in a guest post titled "How to Manage Your Prescription Medication", written exclusively for the Health section of Boomerinas.com.

I can have the article to you in a couple of days. If you want to use it, do you have room on your publishing calendar to post it this week or next?

  24. Donna Spencer.

I am freelance writer and I want to write about "Travel and Cruises" which Is exactly related to your blog.

  25. Akilah

Greetings! I'd like to do an interview post where I talk with my mom (who is in her mid-50s and is so fly, stylish and just plain hot!) about ways to wear jewelry and to use it to commemorate special milestones. She's known for her collection of beautiful jewelry and can use it to accentuate her style beautifully. I'd like to use the title: Milestones meet Gemstones: The Mature Woman's Guide To Rockin' Jewelry.

    Hi Tina,

My name is Debbie Nguyen and I am a boomerina/graphic designer/blogger/mother/terrific aunt based in the Atlanta area. I would love the opportunity to write for your blog, if you are taking any guest posts. At the moment, I would like to address what happens to a business when the co-owners are divorcing spouses.

Please let me know if you would be interested in reviewing this or if you have any questions or comments. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

    Hi there,
I am a freelance writer and blogger and am working on an article about relationships after divorce, specifically tips about how to determine if your new beau is a persistent or attentive lover or a potential stalker.

Please let me know if you believe this is a topic that will appeal to your readers.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Tina: I LOVE your blog! I love *most* sources of information and advice devoted to helping us femmes d'un certain age navigate the rough seas of growing older, but yours provides the kind of practical lifestyle recommendations and observations that calm the waters a bit. Thank you for the service you provide.
The address for my blogsite, which I started last year when I retired and moved to Florence, Italy, is above. I had originally intended to make it an info/advice blog for older women who can't bear the thought of sitting around in their hometowns watching themselves and their friends growing more feeble and less interesting every day. Like most of the things we baby-boomers have done, it was going to show others how to break convention and opt for a not-your-mother's-retirement. Instead, it's become a personal journal that I'm not sure is very helpful to anyone but me.
I will be grateful for all comments and recommendations you can give me.
    Mille grazie.

  30. Linda Waldon

    Hi Tina,

I am an image consultant/business woman who helps women over 40 feel confident, empowered, and beautiful. As we older women find ourselves competing for jobs and careers with twenty-somethings, there is a way to look more put-together, sophisticated, fierce, and powerful -- because we've earned it! Our bodies are changing and we need help creating a signature style that expresses our true authentic self (not what the fashion industry dictates). We're at a time of our lives where we need to gain clarity about who we are, and reaffirm our natural strengths, passions, and dreams for a career that we probably squashed years ago! I write about how we can express who we are inside with the way we look on the outside.

  31. Tina-Boomerina

Amen, Linda! I'll email you when I get back home and on a REAL computer ... I almost said a REAL "typewriter".... accck.... I'm getting old-ish.

  32. Suzanne Topham

    Hey Tina --

I am a longtime print journalist, a front-wave baby boomer who took an early retirement buyout in my crashing industry and now freelance. Yes, I have written for a major metro and now for online sites, as well as editing for same, and I am a pro at this stuff. It's what I do. I can answer most of your questions:

    1. Cream/Disraeli Gears (not my favorite group, but there it is)
    2. Paul McCartney
    3. Mickey Mouse. If you want I can name most of the Mouseketeers in that photo.
    4. John Travolta
    5. 10
    6. Bear. I just said that to somebody the other day.
    7. Don't know. Haha.

Married twice, divorced twice, two now thirtysomething kids from first marriage. I think I can really relate to the women of my generation on issues of style as in fashion, style as in life, style as in so-called retirement. Along with issues related to being on the upside of 60 and not living with a man. This website is a great idea. I was just telling someone the other day that I have been reading More magazine since it first started, when I was in my early 40s I think, and now it still is about people in their 40s and no longer speaks to me. And there is nothing out there that does. I'd love to write for you.

    My best,

    • Tina-Boomerina

Suzanne, even though you don't love Disraeli Gears, I'll give you extra credit for naming the Mouseketeers... I can't remember most of them. What do you want to write about? It sounds like you're on the right wavelength, kiddo.

I'm on the younger end of the boomer generation. I am a freelance writer specializing in aging (or I like to call it ageless) beauty. Would you be willing to take a look at an article about the importance of knowing what's in your beauty products?

I very much look forward to hearing from you

I'm a freelance blogger and fashion enthusiast. I recently came across your blog and found it rather insightful and informative, with enough themes and designs for those planning a wedding.
I have a keen interest in lifestyle and have written a number of articles on a variety of topics, ranging from fitness and fashion to tech.

I have noticed that some of your posts are contributions from guest writers and I definitely am interested in writing for you.

I am currently working on an article and feel it will be apt for your blog.

Do let me know if you accept guest submissions so that I can send in an article for review. Also, if you would like me to write on any specific topic, do let me know and I would be more than glad to do it.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

    Thanks and regards,

    Hi Christina!
I must be losing it. I did not know you are Tina Boomerina! How many years have we known each other? Since Suite101! I am so out of touch.
Anyway, I write on a number of things, but I'm really into simplicity now. We Boomer girls tend to collect, you know and that collecting turns into a mess when we have to downsize. I just started a new blog on the topic called "Maxing the Minimal" and I'd love to do a guest post here on my journey from a packed 1300 sf home to a future tiny home.

We were both at Woodstock and I can answer all your questions! I was married at the resort where Bo Derek filmed 10!! I may be 64 but don't feel it. Please take a look at my website and if it fits your model, I'd love to pursue writing or linking to my blog!

Where can I purchase the clothing I am finding on Pinterest and this site?

    • Tina-Boomerina

I'm in the process of making a sister site where you can click through to the current clothing. Most of these items are from London, but they ship to the US and it seems to get here just as fast as the stuff I buy from the US. I'll email you and see if I can help you locate something specific.

I hope my webgirl can get my site together quickly because everyone wants to know the same thing. Some of my articles are from past seasons, so not everything is available, but I'll help you locate something if I can.

      Cheers, Tina Boomerina

  43. Barb

Wow, thrilled to find your site. I am a retired boomer that has so many interests and do not have an outlet. I love fashion, bargain hunting for everything, my six grandchildren, animals, home decorating/nesting, cooking, travel, history, reading and politics. I am very well read on many subjects, because I need to learn something new every day. I retired from a very successful government job and was a military wife. I have traveled extensively and look forward to additional travel. I am very active in my grand children's life's, their education, their school actives, their health, and am very into what they wear, without being pushy, because I respect their parents. Everyday I look up recipes, facts in regard to news or a conversation, I look at websites for style ideas and decorating ideas. I would love to be part of Boomerinas.com. I am 62 years old. Giving out my age is not a problem for me, I thank God for these years, I have been very blessed.

  44. Bridget

4/17/2014 - I just tripped over your website while googling "clothing tips for plus size pear shaped," and I love everything about it. I was born in 1959; I'm a tail-end boomer. On my blog, please read 'Warp Threads' (memoir genre). WARNING: It's long for a blog entry. I'm looking for a creative outlet to do some regular writing. If your site is still looking for contributors, I'd love to give it a go.

  45. Kathy Lund

Much like Bridget, I googled "apple shape" clothing and your site was suggested. I love art, design, photography and writing. New trendy fashions for large sizes are hard to find. I'm so pleased that your site provides lots of ideas! I used to sew my own clothes, and I look forward to sewing again when I retire. I'm 60 years old.

    • Tina-Boomerina

Sorry about the delayed response. I was out of town and couldn't see the comments.

I'm so happy that you found our site. I've been an apple shape my whole life, but almost all women will become more apple shaped as they get older. And, we have the trickiest bodies to work with.

I wish I could sew. Maybe you'll write a sewing article - about what you like to sew - when you start making your own clothes.

    Hi Tina,

I am considering to contribute a piece for boomerinas.com. Here are the answers to your questions:

    1. Disraeli Gears
    2. Paul McCartney
    3. M-I-C-- K-E-Y-- M-O-U-S-E!
    4. John Travolta
    5. 10
    6. Bear
    7. Dance

I just want to make sure that I hear from you first before I give any ideas.

Thanks for your time and I hope to hear from you soon!

  47. Flora

    How are things your end?!

Being an avid blogger, I spend most of my waking hours online. During which I came across your blog "boomerinas.com" which was both refreshing and enjoyable!
I would love to write something for your blog on ,around 400-500 words, give or take, that is if you would allow me to.

    Hoping you would though!

  48. Cindy Baker Burnett

I was born in 1946 and my writing has a crow's-feet flavor. My husband and I saw "Jersey Boys" last week and I wrote a 455-word, whimsical article called "Movie Hits the High Notes." You'll love it, Christina.

  49. Leanne

So glad I found you. Was searching for "the site" for my boomer/x generation fashion self from many good sources and your site popped up while searching for clearance boots for "women over fifty." Recently created and planned my photography exhibit of American Roots Musicians from the 1980s-1990s. I called it: "Blues to the Rescue: A Story in Photograohs."

An avid thrift-estate sale-garage sale maven from decades ago I am always freshening up my unique look via Goodwill. Budget is key. Its amazing that some key pieces that are still on my hanger are in-style again. Without doing a Goggle search, I guessed Paul, John and 10.

    • Tina-Boomerina

Good job guessing the answers. Very good for a youngster your age... haha.

I love vintage and thrift stuff. I wish I still had all my old things from my decades of fashionizing my body. Hope you find them. They were rocking duds.

Don't forget eBay and Etsy. Those sites are a bit more expensive (usually, but not always) because someone else has done all the work for you. However, if you live near NYC or LA, you'll probably find awsome vintage stuff in your hometown. I'm sure the Bay Area is good and I've heard you can find Euro throwaways in Florida, but I'm in Seattle, so I don't know.

I find better stuff on vintage sites. Seattle is NOT a fashion mecca.

      • Tina-Boomerina

I just thought about it. If you want to write about your exhibit, I would love to have a quick article. I'll email you.

I love blues! Are you in Memphis, Mississipi, Texas, or some place like that?

  50. Julie

I hope I can help you. Unfortunately, a lot of my photos were lost when we updated the site ... or when we changed to a new server. I'm not sure when it happened.

If you can show me the photo on Pinterest, I may be able to help. I'll have the pics back on that article soon, however the article is from a while back. However, if you can show me the dress or tell me what it looks like, I might be able to help you find something similar if not the exact thing. Well, I can at least tell you the store.

After I find the replacement photos (lots of fun sorting through all those pics... oy vey... ai carumba... holy sheet...) I'll try to remember to tell you the stores where the dresses are from.

I will be emailing you right now. If I forget to contact you later, let me know. If it's the tropical dress, I've already emailed your friend.

I appreciate blogs for women over 40, 50, 60, etc., but ... Why do they all have to be about our "changing bodies," what meds we take, shopping at Chico's, or crafts (give me a break, is that all we do with our free time?) I am a 60-year-old woman, and frankly, I'm not ready to "give up." All the references to "dressing like twenty-year-olds," have absolutely no meaning to me. I have found that the clothes at American Apparel fit me better than those at the Loft, so I wear them. I travel to Europe many times a year, and the women my age that I see on the street aren't caught up in "dressing their age." They embrace their sexuality way beyond their 40's and 50's and look damn happy while doing so. I was on my way to resorting to baggy clothes when I was in my 40's and decided to make a change. I lost thirty pounds, changed my style and got a whole new outlook on life. People say you need to change "from the inside out," but one can change from the "outside in," as well. It worked for me.

    • Tina-Boomerina

Right on, baby. I agree with you 10000%.

I'm never going to wear what old women wear. I'll walk around naked before I wear what my mother wore. Gasp. It will never come to that.

You are so right about European women. Even when they are plump, they don't wear dowdy clothing. They embrace life.

Americans are too caught up in being "correct" and boring. They are afraid. I wonder if it's because the US was founded by Puritans. Whatever it is, it's silly.

If people don't like what you wear, tell them to look at someone else and leave you alone.

Love you comment. You are fab. You are a real Boomerina.

  56. Christiane Marshall

    Hi Tina!

I was trying to reach you about an idea. Actually I already wrote it and not sure if it's a fit for your website as it's not fashion related. But it's definitely boomer related!

  57. Christiane Marshall

    Hi Tina,

I sent you an email. I have an article written you might be interested in.

Does someone who has a book called "Confessions of a Middle-Aged Hippie" qualify? ;) Trick question... I totally get this energy and this woman. Having published on the Huffington Post for the last few years, I write about current topical lifestyle issues, including aging and beauty, relationships, intimacy, monogamy and everything in-between. Is there actually anything in-between? I have many pieces that the quintessential boomerina would resonate with. Love to share some of my "cosmic meanderings" with your readers. Look forward to starting the conversation.

  59. Laura Stewart

OMG! I am so glad to have found this site this morning! I apologize for my pitiful attempt at a website since I have not been too up-to-date in posting these blogs. My current mission in my life is to publish my memoirs of growing up as a baby boomer and I live to just make someone laugh – to lighten their day and burdens. I have been sidetracked the past two years perfecting my humor as a speaker/humorist. If it is possible to submit some blogs here, it will certainly help me to define that book and/or stage play I have been writing for almost 20 years about boomers. I am one of six children (all baby boomers). The oldest born in 1946 to the youngest born in 1959. My childhood was unique enough to become fodder for many, many delightful stories. I have a million of them! All humorous and many motivating and inspiring. I can publish childhood memories, issues of putting a parent into assisted living and nursing home, grieving over loss of a child, parents, siblings to how to "flip off" the corporate and government-worker world and live on pennies just to create a new life filled with things that are strictly my passion – food and movies. ;-) I would love an outlet to talk about me and my newly-retired friend and the antics we will get into creating a wonderful world in the middle of this global mess – all to teach everyone that it all boils down to LOVE. Hope to hear from you!

    Hello Christina!

My name is Maura Howard and I am a Publication Strategist at Influence & Co. I work with experts in the Baby Boomer generation to help them publish contributed articles in publications such as your own! These authors would love to write exclusive, non-promotional contributed pieces for Boomerinas.

We’re not a link-building and our authors don’t expect to be paid — they simply want to speak to and engage with readers of the Baby Boomer Generation.

I’d love to learn more about Boomerinas. Do you have any writing guidelines for our authors to follow?

I look forward to hearing back. Thank you!

Hi Tina: I've recently written an article called Frontiers in Palliative Care and would like to share it with your readership. Palliative Care is the relieving or soothing of symptoms of a disease or disorder without affecting a cure. Palliative care is a kind of medical care not well known for people who have serious or chronic illnesses providing an extra layer of support for improving the quality of life not only for the sick but for whole families. Please let me know what you think your subscriber might appreciate. Thank you! Ron

    • Tina-Boomerina

I don't post articles that have been previously posted online. If you want to write a similar article that is different enough to pass the GoogleBot test, I will look at it because your article sounds great.

My Mom is a member of this website. She said you'd get a laugh out of the bold fashions in this video!

    • Tina-Boomerina

      Holy tol-freaking-edo,

That's hysterical. And, that old guy ain't a bad dancer... former Chippendale's or 42 Street? I put the link on this "article" so more people would see it.

Tell your mom she's right. It's the funniest thing I've seen in AGES.

Tina (sorry it took so long to get back to you, I'm out of town)

  63. Madelyn Griffith-Haynie, CTP, CMC, MCC, SCAC

Love your focus and love your blog. A Boomer myself, I've repinned a number of your article graphics to my Gilding the Lilly and Mid-Life Look Book boards

I'm looking for a "home" for a Series using what I've learned in 25 years in the attentional and executive functioning field to normalize (and help with) what is typically called "age related cognitive decline" -- in a style that is both humorous and helpful. (Many of the posts on my blog are science-based, which I don't believe is the right tone for most mid-life readers, but you can get a bit of an idea of my sense of humor from the "about me" linked above - Menage a Moi.)

Let me know by email if this might be of interest.

I might be interested in an article. Not sure about a series... but maybe. I could use a little help with "age related cognitive decline" myself.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you... like 6 months. Your comment was buried with in the spam folder for some reason. I only saw it because I empty the spam from time to time.

Well, if you're still alive, let's talk. I'm having difficulties with posting under other author's names, though. You can either wait longer until my webgirl can fix authorship code or I can interview you by email and post under my name. I would have to check your website out more, but anyone who writes Menage a Moi has already made me laugh... and that's what keeps me going and keeps me from losing it.

  64. suzan hall

Hi Tina, I am Suzan Hall, a wedding planner and a writer in http://www.leonardspalazzo.com. I came to your site while searching some information for my blog and I found that you are looking for guest writers and I was thinking to contribute a bit.i Have a article for you on

"Spring is nature's way of saying, 'Let's party!"

and I believe this would perfectly suit your audience.
I hope you like the topic and let me know what you think about it. I will be looking forward for your reply.

    • Tina-Boomerina

I'm willing to consider an article, but I usually only take articles written by people over 40/50. I also prefer articles with unique, personal stories. If you have REAL stories about older women planning weddings, give me an elevator pitch.

  65. Tracey Claytont

    Hi there,

I'm Tracey,a full time mom of three girls, passionate for writing.
I humbly like to think that I have some experience to share :) so I would love to contribute to your website with some of my thoughts, if it is possible of course. I have post ideas that could be interesting to your readers. Working titles are:

    * How I prevented my mother in law nagging
    * What have I changed with my second baby?

What do you think? Please, let me know what your thoughts are :)

    Kindest regards,

    • Tina-Boomerina

I only take articles written for older women (over 40). Most of us have either killed our mothers-in-law or learned to ignore them by this time. And, we had our babies 30 years ago... so we're more in the grandmother stage.

My pal has a site that might be a better fit. Try untrainedhousewife.com and contact Angela England

      • Tracey Clayton

Thank you for your sincere reply :) I can’t stop laughing :)))) And thank your for your recommendation!

Love to see appropriate fashion for over 50's--but all the photos are women who are 25-30. How can I tell if it's good for me when it's on someone who looks like all the pics in fashion magazines?

  67. AJ Earley

    Hi Tina,

My name is AJ and I'm an avid adventurer. I've been RVing for several years, but I recently got into "glamping" and would love to write a post all about it! If you didn't already know, glamping is a kind of new trend, especially in the lady boomer world, of fixing up old-ish RVs and making them absolutely fabulous and glamorous (hence the word "glamper.") There's a whole subculture emerging, and I have all sorts of tips and ideas to share with anyone interested in getting into the glamping world. I think this would be a such a great post idea for your site, and I bet your readers would love it.

I hope to hear from you soon!

    Thanks enormously,

    Andrea (definitely a Boomerina)

  71. Jill Aaron

Hi. I'm a 49 year old woman building a writing portfolio. I'm interested in writing a post on the lack of trendy styles for older women. For example, I love the bohemian styles at Free People, but they are usually too sheer, too short or too low. May I submit an article for your approval?

  72. Victoria Staten

It's never too late to start your own business. Would you like me to write an article about how to do it?
