Regular & Plus-Size Tops: Covered Perfectly for Women Over 40, 50, 60
by Tina Boomerina (Christina Gregoire)
I just sat down to write this review about a new online brand called Covered Perfectly, but I’m getting up again to slip into something more comfortable… my Covered Perfectly top. I just love the silky feel of Micro-Modal fabric on my skin.
Now… I’m back. Hey, I know that what I wrote in the first paragraph sounds like a cheesy ad, but it’s true. The (popular brand name) top I was wearing a few moments ago was scratchy. So, now I’m wearing my soft Covered Perfectly top even though no one can see me except for my dog, Rocco.
Covered Perfectly’s Micro-Modal Tops
First, I want to disclose that my Covered Perfectly top was sent to me (free) so that I would give it a good review if I liked it.
I never do that because I don’t want to compromise my opinions, but I made an exception and said, "Yes, I will try your top," after finding out that Pauline Durban, the founder of Covered Perfectly, is a 56-year-old woman who started her own clothing company… because she couldn’t find cute, comfortable tops that covered her upper arms and came down long enough to cover her tummy.
Okay, I Lied....
I said, “Yes,” to Pauline because her tops (well, most of her tops) are made of slinky Micro-Modal fabric.
Oooooh. Modal. My favorite fabric… My expensive Rachel Pally dresses are made of Modal. Modal has stretch. It has great drape. It feels cool and extravagant. It shows off your shape, but it covers your flaws. Micro-Modal is light but not flimsy. Micro-modal loves me and I love it back. It might be better than silk.
Clothing Designed for Women Over 40, 50, 60
Well, I didn’t really lie. The things I said about Pauline are true. She’s one of us (a Baby Boomer) and she knows what we want because she wants it too. But, unlike the rest of us, instead of just complaining about what’s out there, Pauline decided to do something about it.
Her clothes are:
- Made in the USA
- Well Made
- Dirt Cheap
Okay, nothing is dirt cheap these days, but Pauline’s prices ARE great. (Her site offers free shipping and free returns.)
Inexpensive Tops That Look Expensive
I just double-checked the prices for good Modal clothing. There’s a Rachel Pally Modal top that’s almost exactly like the Covered Perfectly Micro-Modal top I’m wearing right now, but the Pally top is $150 (suggested price) and Pauline’s top is $49.95.
How does she do this? Pauline says the reason her prices are so good is because she sells her tops direct. Her tops are only available through CoveredPerfectly.com (and use the code BR20 for a 20% discount)... unless Pauline is having another promotional event that you like better, and then you should use the code that gives you the best deal for what you want.
Pauline continues her story, “My production company told me I wasn’t charging enough, but I would rather sell more at less profit than make a high profit and the masses can’t afford them. I’ve had a lot of interest and things are going very well.” (article continues)
